Last night Andrew and I were sitting in his room reading a book. He then paused, looked up at me and said "I want to dance". At first I just smiled, not believing him. He then requested to dance again. So we went to the kitchen were the radio was. I turned it on and he had the biggest smile! And then dance moves i have never seen before. He shaked his butt, threw his arms in the air and just had the best time. He then ran back to his room and brought me a plastic snake and a plastic seal that I had to hold in the air to see him dance. He danced in circles, clapped his hands and even crossed his arms in a very serious dance move. How I loved watching him express himself.
Of course that was way too much attention for Andrew, and Emma became jealous. So now I had two children dancing and trying to out do the other in their moves. 30 minutes later the disco was over.. and the children were laying on the floor trying to catch their breath.
Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving special was on last night. So as a special treat I allowed Emma to stay up to watch it. To be honest, I was mesmorized by it. We both drank a cup of decaf tea (in training for our UK visit) and enjoyed the blanket as we cozied together on the couch.
This weekend we will be off and running. My ex has them for Thanksgiving. Sam and I will go to our friends Sandrine and Rono's house for an entire day of cooking and fun. Then on Friday we leave for Squaw Valley. I am so looking forward to relaxing in the mountains.
Wishing you all a wonderful thanksgiving!
