Who needs a hubby??

I have been so fortunate to have such wonderful "quality" girlfriends. Last fall my girlfriends and I decided to have our pictures done by a wonderful photographer (Lauren). A wonderful morning filled with much silliness as we tried to come up with poses that made us look skinnier and of course showed all of our Top Model attributes.
So time is going by now as I await for Sam to return home. I admit, the first week he was gone I was a complete Freak Show. Missed him terribly, completely insecure about it and if he didnt call I was panicking. HA>> so not like me. So after 7 days of that, and continually feeling ill, I went to the Dr. and found out I had a sinus and ear infection! Dr. said no wonder I was "weird" all week. WAHOOO i can blame it all on the infection. Im not weird anymore.

Over the weekend I had a BBQ with my friends. A wonderful day with great company. Im also very thankful of BBQ Master Rocky. He was fantastic at the "pit" and served us super good food. My mom also came for a couple of days which was very nice. Emma calls her "My Grandma" and has quite the attachment.

Im also on week 6 of my 5 day a week workout routine. I am continually sore and exhausted. Where is the freakin miracle on my body??? I tried on a two piece that I wore on my honeymoon. Good news... I didnt hear any elastic tear when I tried it on. The bad news?? It looked soooo wrong. GOD>> 3 pregnancies does not guarantee any miracles unless I receive Plastic Surgery... ooohhh Sam.. my birthday is coming up! :)
Im also sooo happy that I have a nanny now. Jen is so incredibly wonderful with the children. Here are some pictures she takes:

Hades

So if you live in California you will know that it's been hotter than Hades this past week. Then factor in the "Brandy doesnt have an airconditioner" and alas.. hellish baby moments! My poor children are so incredibly hot with a momma who was on her second pitcher of Ice Tea and zero patience left. So I said forget it.. lets pack up and go the beach.

So we drive to the beach which was only 30 minutes away. At my house the temperature was 100 degrees. The beach temperature? 59 degress!!! What the hell?? So here i am, wrapped in a towel as I drag the kids to the beach. Thankfully if you burry your legs in the sand they would stay warm. I just allowed the kids to chase everydog they saw while I stayed in my sand cocoon. Kids were fine, sand dont hurt if you eat neither! Yah.. I was too cold to move and they were basically on their own.

Sam had to go out of town for family reasons... so I will be alone till he gets back. Uggh.. Who am I going to watch the season finale to American Idol with?? ohh goodddd.. lol.

Here are some pics of the children, the new sporty yellow glasses and then a couple of me that I had to squeeze into with the children. I think they are getting tired of taking pictures with me!

Johnny Law

First of all I must say I do not condone or promote the following story.. but it made me laugh.

Yesterday I took the kids to Safeway to buy some diapers. Emma was very eager to push the cart while Andrew tried to climb out at the same time. We truly looked like a circus act going down the isle.

So we finally reach the teller and all of a sudden Emma is perfect little angel. She just stood there, not moving and kept by my leg. Hmmm.. the moment Emma is minding me I realize things are not right. So I pay for the diapers, wrangling with Drew and Emma still by my side. Now Im puzzled, why is she being so good? We reach the car and I open her door to allow her to get inside, meanwhile I place Andrew in his seat.

It wasnt till we were in the car when I smelled it.. it was chocolate. I look in the rear view mirror as I see Emma opening the perfect bag of M&Ms that she took while we were at the store. She actually took a large bag, rolled it tight in her hands and somehow placed it under her shirt with her hands cupped over it.
Now I realize this is not right and for that I explained to Emma how it was wrong, etc. I then told her that "Johnny Law" (police man) would not be happy and she would get in trouble.. So her reply??? "Ohhh, Johnny Law is so cute in his uniform". Enough said....

7 Layer Dip

So it seems I didnt pull a fast one on any of you. You all knew it wasnt me in the picture. Damn, my blog reading crowd is quite smart. :)

So i continue to work out.. and work out. I feel exhausted at times but right when I think of giving up I receive those motivating words from Emma.. "Momma, you have a fat tummy". Yup.. that did it, she is my motivational speaker. I knew I had her for a reason!

And then there is my little love, Andrew. Momma is perfect in his eyes. Did I mention he cant talk yet? Good boy.

So this weekend the kids and I went to Reno and hung out with the Fam. Two things, (1) my mother's signature 7 layer dip - my thighs didnt get this way without that dip! I dipped like crazy which put me into a refried bean coma and fell asleep during the movie that night; and (2) Cousin Craziness!

Emma and Mia, only 6 months apart, and they have the biggest love/hate relationship that is so incredibly filled with drama, emotion, jealousy, friendship and love. They are quite amusing to watch, although as a referee you have to be on guard at all times. Here are a few pictures of the girls wearing their sunglasses in front of the closed pool at the casino. A girl can still pretend she is going to the pool!
